Is your brain a punching bag?

One of the most treacherous notions in the process of education is its exclusive and insane focus on brain (courtesy those neurologists and clinical psychotherapists!!!). Unlearn it as fast as possible. Human brain is, along with other parts like body, heart, soul etc., an important processor for learning but not THE ONLY one. Our exclusive focus of brain has made education memory based and data storage-capacity testing process which can never be 'education'. Besides, we have 'Memory' and 'Mind' power booster tablets and Gurus in the market, to add to the nonsense, of course! So what if you can remember all the dates, figures, statistics, numbers, names etc.? Will that make you a better human being in the society you belong to? In fact it is other way round, a person with more qualifications is more isolated (and virtually connected to fool him/herself!!) And there is a lot of stress that is given to your brain unnecessarily, is your brain a punching bag?
I agree with you sir. Education is not filling the mind with a lot of information. This reminds me of Vivekananda who has apparently said that education is not book-learning, it is not even diverse knowledge. The training by which the current and expression of will are brought under control and become fruitful is called education. Education is not an accumulation of words. Unfortunately what happens in today's 'modern' system of education is the mind is crammed with facts even before it knows how to think.
